Continuing the Great Puzzle of M. Every time I decide to mount something back into the freshly painted bus, I find the old part grimy, dirty, and rusty, and I want to replace or at least clean it as perfectly as possible.
Und weiter geht das Grosse Puzzle des M. Jedes mal, wenn ich ein Teil in den neu lackierten Bus einbauen will, ist das Bauteil dreckig, schmierig oder verrostet. Aber eigentlich soll der Bus am Ende ja perfekt da stehen.
So I took the dashboard apart and removed all the rust I could find. / Also schnell das Armaturenbrett zerlegt und all den Rost entfernt.
The soft padding has a crack and is really dirty with layers of grime and old paint. / Der Stossschutz ist dreckig und schmierig und echt ekelig.
The nylon brush removed the paint quickly without destroying the plastic. / Mit der Nylonbürste ging sogar die Farbe ab ohne die Kunststoffoberfläche zu zerstören.
A quick trip to the hardware store to get a rubber filler and some nice paint. / Schnell im Baumarkt flexiblen Füller geholt und tiefschwarze matte Sprühfarbe mit Metalleffekt. Bin gespannt.
