Movido

Movido was an app that could animate faces and bodies of computer generated character live on television. It used video capturing an motion tracking. A predecessor of Movido was part of my university diploma and was first used in 1993 to produce Traugott Vocks for the German TV station VOX

In 1995, I added full body tracking for a WDR kids show featuring a cactus,

Movido was rewritten from scratch in 1997 to animate Sony’s Sonya and many other virtual characters

and to control robots like Nao

Movido has not been updated for many years. Nevertheless, versions of it still run on macOS and MSWindows. Movido, like Nuke, uses FLTK as its cross user interface library.
